Buyer and SellerIf you are looking to buy or sell a house Lisa Bibb-Welch is the person you want to be your Broker! I first met Lisa in 2003 when I was looking to buy a condo. Lisa found me the perfect home in Wallingford and was always looking out for my best interests. The condo association for the building I was buying in was in the process of suing the builder because the building was leaking. Fortunately, the unit I bought did not leak, but Lisa had a hold back agreement written into the contact in the event that an assessment would be made. As a first-time buyer I was thankful for her knowledge and expertise in the buying process and for providing protection for me against a potential HOA assessment.
I had the pleasure of working with Lisa again in 2007 when I decided to sell my condo and buy a townhouse in Ballard. Lisa expertly handled negotiating the contingent offer for buying the townhouse and quickly sold my condo.
In 2019 I decided to sell my townhouse to move out of state and of course called on Lisa to help me. I thought I would sell the townhouse and then move but ended up moving out after the townhouse had been listed for 3 weeks. I threw this curveball at Lisa and she immediately had a plan in place for bringing in staging and having new photos of the townhouse taken.
The day I moved out the movers damaged the entry way wall and when I notified Lisa she again immediately put a plan in place to get the damage fixed. Knowing that I had someone to rely on when I was moving out of state was a huge relief. Lisa went above and beyond in taking care of my townhouse – she would water the yard, check in on the place and send me pictures. She provided detailed summaries of how the open houses went and was always quick to respond to me. Prior to the townhouse closing she provided me with final meter reading numbers and ensured my townhouse was clean for the new owner. It is because of her I was able to close early on selling my townhouse.
Lisa is the person you want in your corner when buying or selling a house – she has an incredible amount of knowledge regarding the Seattle real estate market, is a fantastic negotiator and genuinely cares about her clients. I would recommend her without hesitation; Lisa has definitely set the bar high in my expectations of what a Broker should be like to work with. My wife and I presented Lisa with quite a task… we needed to get our house on the market within 10 days of returning from a “vacation” that we took to scout out a new area to live next summer. Turns out we found our dream house while we were at and acted on it.
Lisa took notes and prepared for our return. Everything we needed to get done was on a list waiting for us upon arrival. She made several recommendations based on her vast knowledge and instincts, we trusted her completely and she did not steer us wrong. She utilized her extensive contacts to help us chip away at our punch list to get the house on the market with the best chance to command a top return on our investment. We got everything done and my family departed on their cross country journey while I remained here to make sure everything went as it was supposed to on the sale of the house and to complete my tour of duty here in Seattle before retirement.
Lisa was engaged in every step of the way, not in an invasive way… but in a way that made us feel very comfortable with the decisions we were making. Ultimately the house sold for WELL over asking price, largely due to the fact that we followed what Lisa recommended. She knows her stuff, obviously LOVES what she does and cared very much that our experience was as free from anxiety as possible.
